BABY DRESSING

BABY DRESSING
A "Baby Dressing" also called "Layette", is a collection of clothing for a newborn child. The term "layette set" is commonly used in America to refer to gift sets of baby clothes.
Traditionally, women would hand-sew their baby's clothes during their pregnancy. Today "layette" is often used to identify a baby clothing section of a store. The term can also be used for bedding, accessories, and baby care items.
Basic layette items include:
1- A going-home-from-the-hospital outfit2- Legless sleepwear (sleeping gowns / kimonos / sleeping bags3- Newborn sacques / blanket sleepers) or footed sleepers4- Onesies (short-sleeved, legless bodysuits) / all-in-ones / rompers / coveralls5- Undershirts / T-shirts6- Receiving blankets7- Swaddling blankets8- Hooded towels9- Baby washcloths10- Socks / booties11- Hats / beanies / sweaters / bunting (depending on the climate)12- Burp cloths (cloth diapers are often recommended)
The amount of each item needed varies by source, and is mostly a matter of willingness to do laundry.
Baby Shoes
A "Baby Shoes" is an item of footwear. Footwear consists of garments worn on the feet. It is worn for a variety of reasons, including protection against the environment, hygiene and adornment.
Baby shoes are soft, sponze and very small in size. They are available in different prime colours.
Usually, socks and other hosiery are worn under footwear. It is sometimes associated with fetishism, particularly in some recent fashions in shoes and boots.
